Mondo Estremo is a cultural association created in Florence, in 1997. Its main aim is to promote the culture of theatre and of arts. It reaches this goal through the realisation of shows, training activities, meetings and seminars, shaping them from their draft, through the organization, to their production. All the activities are developed from the association itself and in collaboration with public and private companies of the same field. Funding members members have created the Association in order to put skills and competences acquired in nearly twenty years' experience, together and to better develop them.

Mondo Estremo has recently started a publishing activity. The goal is promotion and improvement of research in sound and music computing.
The first title has been realized whithin The Sounding Object Project, in cooperation with the Computer Science Department of the University of Verona.
